18 @ 7:30 pace, felt good so just kept going, cooled down with2 slow miles at finish to hopefully aid recovery.  Never really pushed, thought about trying to finish with a  3:18 26.2, but wisely stopped at 18  as I was running on a bagel and had no GUs or liquid, other than my handheld bottle of cranberry juice! Had no idea what I was going to run when I started.

I am in PA visiting parents for holidays with my son, so yesterday was a 10 hr drive, not sure that counts as a day of rest, but there was no running.

Nothing like a 20-miler after a 10-hour drive...I guess. Nice run at a good clip! Enjoy the trip.

All I have to say is WOW ... It sounds way too easy :-) You're definitely in good shape!

Thx Joe, the last 2 hours of the drive were brutal in the dark an rain, I kept tellig myself I would rather be running the last 10k of a marathon! Of course, I stopped my tempo run at 18 miles, because I did not want to disprove that theory!

Tim, I was very happy with it, not too often I run over 10 miles at that pace.

IJR, the first 17 miles were easy, started to feel it after that. At 18, I went in a building and refilled my water bottle, the 2 mile shuffle home after that was the hardest!

That's a very nice run, especially for one of the unplanned variety. Good job, and good job stopping when you knew you should!
