Alex is 13...? He's keeping up with you pretty well. It won't be long and you will be chasing him... :)

IJR - Yeah, he turns 14 in July ... he really impressed me with his times, since he never runs! (other than at soccer practice) I am afraid this may be the last year I am faster than him, other than the marathon, because he is not foolish enough to run that far yet! lol He is considering trying out for cross country in the fall ... although that would be tough to do along with soccer & band. He is an extremely talented trumpet player, and the high school he is going to has a marching band that has been state champions last 3 years in its class.

Nice times. Tough to run an 800m, mile and then a 5k - wow. We have a summer track series here but I am afraid I would injure myself so I have never done it.

Thx DH, tough doing all 3. I was not real happy with my Mile, but it was hot & I did avoid crashing at the end. Almost threw in the towel at 2 mile mark of 5k, but just took last mile easier & then out sprinted a couple guys to the finish. These will be good benchmark times for me to strive to improve with more track work.

Nice times. I don't really know anything about track times but that sounds like a super fast 800 to me. You're definitely not getting your best mile time after that.
